How to Enable ActiveX in Internet Explorer
To enable ActiveX in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x or 6.x, perform the following steps:
Step 1.
Click on Internet Explorer's "Tools" menu, and then on "Internet Options".
Step 2.
Click on the "Security" tab, and then on the "Custom Level" button.
Step 3.
Make sure the following options are checked:
- Download signed ActiveX controls: Prompt
- Download unsigned ActiveX controls: Disable
- Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe: Disable
- Script ActiveX controls marked as safe: Enable
- Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins: Enable
Step 4.
Click "OK". Then CLOSE and RE-LAUNCH your browser.
Your browser stores many of its settings. The best way to ensure
changes to core function settings to take effect is to close all browser
windows completely, then relaunch it.
